Artist and Animators
Job
Description:
Papaya is now hiring experienced 3D environment artists and Character
Animators to create
immerse worlds in its new PS2 and Wii titles.
We are looking for artists that are adaptable and able to be
productive right away.
The ideal candidate has a portfolio and resume that clearly
demonstrates that he/she has
classical training in drawing, painting and animating and
experience in the 3D modeling, texturing.

Responsibilities:
Responsible for construction of the game environments, including
creation of some
concept art, terrain, props, models, and textures.
Working closely with Art Director and Leads to maintain art
style and cohesive look and feel throughout the game.
Meet tight deadlines and milestones by staying on top of
the schedule. Communicating with designers, producers,
programmers, and fellow artists.
Requirements:
-Expert Modeling and texturing skills using 3D Max, or equivalent
3D package
-Superior eye for detail, light, color balance in texturing
-Thorough understanding of shape, structure and form for modeling
-Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills,
team player and is proactive at fixing issues
-Must have worked on previous console titles for PS2, Xbox, or
Gamecube
Plusses:
-Excellent traditional drawing skills
-Good concept drawing/creation skills
-Experience creating both cartoon and realistic environments
-Passion for video games, broad knowledge of titles and industry
Character
Animators
Job
Responsibilities:
Responsible
for creating various real-time character animations and cycles,
including
research, rigging, testing and revising. Work with Lead Animators on character animation including
facial
animation, lip sync and personality animation.
Meet tight deadlines and milestones by staying on top of the
schedule. Communicating with designers, producers, programmers,
and fellow artists.
Requirements:
-Expert in animating with 3D Max or equivalent 3D package
-Exceptional feel for animating characters, both human and
objects
-Experience creating both cartoon and realistic animation
-Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills,
team player and is proactive at fixing issues
-Must have worked on previous console titles for PS2, Xbox, or
Gamecube
Plusses:
-Knowledge in rigging and skinning characters.
-Excellent traditional drawing skills
-Good concept drawing/creation skills
-Passion for video games, broad knowledge of titles and industry
